I am Krupa Desai, writing to you with an urgent and heartfelt request for your support in a fundraiser to make a meaningful difference in the life of my husband, Balkrishna Desai, who is currently suffering from High-Risk Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) cancer.

On March 18 2023, My husband was diagnosed with AML. He has been under intensive treatment and receiving chemotherapy at Manipal Hospital, Goa. Since then he is undergoing chemotherapy sessions every 3-4 weeks. Till now 5 chemotherapy sessions have been completed and more to go. The next line of treatment suggested by the Doctor is to undergo a bone marrow transplant.

Until now, We have spent ?22 Lakhs on the treatment through savings. Our friends and family members have helped arranging funds as well yet we urgently need additional amount to support his treatment. The estimated medical expense is ?50 Lakhs for the bone marrow transplant.

In light of these circumstances, I request you to kindly contribute towards the treatment and to help alleviate the significant financial strain we face. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference and will bring us one step closer to his return to good health. Every donation, and every act of support, whether financial or through spreading awareness, will make an significant impact on our lives bringing us closer to victory against AML.
